Karen Hughes has over 30+ years in medical billing, starting out in 1983 with a cardiology practice while also attending Brevard Community College. After moving to Hawaii she worked in the billing department for a local Hospital before returning to Florida in 1991 to take a position as Business Office Manager for a multi specialty physician group. In 2011, she tackled billing issues for an Orthopaedic group until its acquisition in 2023. Outside work, Karen coaches a running group, leads a boot camp for a large communication company, and co-owns a CrossFit gym with her partner Eric all while still finding time to raise 2 spoiled English Setter rescue pups Blue and Hunter.
